The Anaheim Marriott has the best of both worlds—a convenient location right next to Disneyland, and an impressive collection of amenities that would make any business traveler want to stay awhile. Whether you’re in Anaheim on vacation or on business, you’ll enjoy access to everything that makes the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort one of the premier hotels in Southern California.

Why Stay at a Hotels Around Disneyland

The JW Marriott anaheim is one of three hotels within walking distance to Disneyland and there are many great reasons why you should stay at a hotel near Disney. The biggest reason that you should stay in these hotels is because they are located directly on Harbor Blvd, which makes them an excellent home base for getting back and forth from Disney or taking advantage of all that Anaheim has to offer. For example, after a long day at one of Southern California’s best theme parks, spend some time relaxing by your pool or enjoy a delicious meal at any one of your hotel’s fine dining options before hitting up any other adventures. All three hotels – Marriott, Hilton and Sheraton – feature restaurants ranging from fast casual to fine dining with menus inspired by classic Californian cuisine.

Picking your Hotel

When you’re traveling with kids, it’s likely that you want an environment that caters to their whims and provides them entertainment. If so, there are many kid-friendly hotels in California for your trip. To help you pick which one is right for your family, here are a few tips. It’s important that your hotel has enough rooms with rollaway beds or cribs so families can sleep as a unit. On top of that, make sure there are plenty of activities for children both during and after their bedtime—ice cream socials, pirate night cabarets, kids’ club entertainment and kid-favorite buffets can all be found at hotels near Disneyland!

What if I don’t want to stay at a hotel around Disney?

Want a different option for your trip? The Courtyard and Residence Inn at John Wayne Airport are both just a few miles from Disney, but you’ll have a bit more breathing room. You can also find boutique hotels that provide rooms in similar settings, such as The Nines (which comes highly recommended). If you want to venture outside of your hotel room—but not too far away—other options include Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, which provides an easy walk to Downtown Disney. If you’re looking for something affordable with free parking and shuttle service back and forth from the airport, look into hotels near John Wayne Airport.

Planning your accommodations for a trip to Disneyland is easy. Depending on your preference, there are several available hotel options near Disney’s magical kingdom. To start planning your vacation, begin by choosing an accommodation type, a location and then look through our search filters based on amenities or price range. One great option is one of JW Marriott ahaheim Hotels & Resorts’ many hotels located near Disney parks and attractions. Transportation from your hotel room

If you’re staying at a hotel outside of Disneyland and plan on visiting the park, your resort may offer shuttles or other transportation. If so, take advantage—the distance can be much farther than it looks on a map. (Or if you have a car, there are plenty of parking lots near both parks.) Be aware that some hotels don’t allow visitors with Disney theme park tickets into their parking garages; they might have parking available but you would have to walk across their property in order to reach your destination.

What should I do when I arrive at my hotel room near Disney World?

The Contempo Cafe at JW Marriott, Baja Cantina in Downtown Disney, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. All are family-friendly and located a short walk away from both theme parks. If you want to venture outside of those areas, check out my earlier suggestions. La Paz Mexican Restaurant serves up delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere (best guacamole I’ve ever had!) on Harbor Blvd between Katella and West Streets. For Asian cuisine, your best bet is either Little Saigon (Westminster) or Thai Gourmet (Anahiem). You can find that info here.

Places to eat while visiting these areas, especially with little ones in tow

If you’re looking for kid-friendly restaurants, don’t worry; there are plenty nearby. Irvine Spectrum Center is only a few miles away and offers a variety of cuisine options (including some pretty great kid-friendly fare). Have your kids try out Cinnabon® at Irvine Spectrum Center’s Cinnabon® Central or go crazy over Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Scoop Shop. And don’t forget about The Living Seas with their live sea animals and walk through aquariums or grab lunch at The Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure Park. With so many ways to spend time with your family nearby, you’ll want to extend your stay for even more fun!
